What a satisfying end to the series! There's some great delving into excellence and what it you need for excellence (particularly people who will help you or push you to do the work to get there) and there are about 2 billion cameos from characters from the first 44 volumes。 It's a very satisfying "how they all grew up" and satisfying goodbye to the main characters。 The biggest compliment to this series I can give is that I want to turn around and start it over at volume 1。**Thanks to the artist What a satisfying end to the series!

10/10 Volleyball is a game that connects。If I could renovate my entire inner narrative over one style- it would be this。 Haikyuu is Volleyball。 It is everything about Volleyball。 And Volleyball is life。The anime is so fun and cheerful, along with the intense moments, but the manga is top tier。 Furudate's supremacy, for me, is unparalleled。 Taking us through the journey of Hinata Shoyo as he teaches himself the basics, his hunger to not just be any volleyball player, but the next Little Giant。 10/10 Volleyball is a game that connects。If I could renovate my entire inner narrative over one style- it would be this。 Haikyuu is Volleyball。 It is everything about Volleyball。 And Volleyball is life。The anime is so fun and cheerful, along with the intense moments, but the manga is top tier。 Furudate's supremacy, for me, is unparalleled。 Taking us through the journey of Hinata Shoyo as he teaches himself the basics, his hunger to not just be any volleyball player, but the next Little Giant。 The whole of the volume is his growth arc。 He starts from nothing- literally。 He doesn't have a volleyball team, nor anyone to play with。 He begs, cajoles his friends into playing a match。 Hinata has no training。 He functions on grit and hunger。He sure has his trials in his quest。 Joining the Karasuno team and learning to be a decoy。 Learning to play with a team。 Infecting everyone with Shoyo-itis。 And then understanding his actual position on the ladder。 What Hinata acts like is highly deceptive of his fierce and honest self-analysis。 Furudate never words out Hinata's introspection- only shows it to us through the quiet moments。 And there are only a couple of those。 Hinata is always questioning, always curious, always with the mindset that he wants to get better。 He knows he isn't at the level as that of his teammates, what he also knows is that it doesn't matter to his growth。We see some passionate, magnificent matches。 All of them with some or the other lesson for Team Karasuno。 Everyone evolves。Despite that, the direction of the last couple of volumes, that's in a league of its own。 To understand that mental, emotional, and physical health- ALL of them play a major role。 At the end of the last match of the seniors, the helplessness I felt- the Karasuno team had their mettle tested。 They did lose the battle。 The war- that they had for meal。Hinata's scrutiny and evaluation of himself- I want to tear it out, and somehow fit it inside of me。 He isn't afraid to admit his faults, he is honest with himself, and he braves it out。 He puts in the work。 He stays hungry for growth。 He improves。 His journey to Brazil and the glimpse of his life we get- I was awed。But Haikyuu isn't just Hinata。His first setter, The King of the Court- Kageyama's arc is quite of a different manner。 It is never truly spelled out but Kageyama had a lasting trauma of his teammates rejecting him in middle school。 The part where Miya calls him a "goody-two-shoes" and the subsequent practice match, it is Hinata that helps him out of it。 And Miya is the one to pick on it again。 You were the one who woke him up。 Hinata is the one to crown him as The King, the one to coronate, the one to make Kageyama accept his part。 It is also the Karasuno team。 And it's only at the end when Kageyama called out to Kindaichi that it is truly resolved。The pleasure of learning the inner narratives of the team, where Nishinoya has learned that fear of trying new things persists but to give in to that fear is such a waste。 Asahi learns to believe in himself。 Yamaguchi works hard to perfect his float serve, and he does it brilliantly。 Tsukishima gets over his own passivity。 Why care about it? Yachi too becomes passionately involved, from being the Village B。 Suga and Daichi battle their own parts as the senior players。 And Tanaka makes his grit stand strong。 And the other players- Kenma, Bokuto, Miya twins, Kita, Ushijima, Iwa, Akaashi, Aone- and SO many more, we get to see inside their private struggles, and we get to see them come up on top。I think I found Haikyuu at the right time for me。 Maybe earlier, I might've rejected it- averse to shounen or a sports manga。 But right now, this year, I'd told myself, I won't regret it as it ends。 I have been going from one thing to another, evolving my goals with the rapid changes。 It is difficult to hold on to that frame of mind。 The hunger and dissatisfaction exist, but it is also easy (initially, I think) to throw your hands up and say you're tired。 That you don't feel like it。 That it's one of those days。 And I have been that person。 And I am still working on it。 Haikyuu is- as I said- its Life。 You gotta take care of yourself。 You gotta introspect。 You gotta experiment and learn strategies to overcome challenges- and most of the time, they're all internal。 And that for people like me, who are so used to taking it easy, it is important to stay aggressive。 It's awfully simple。 Too simple。 The non complexity of Haikyuu is a charm。The passion and hunger of Hinata are infectious。 And Effort has always been one of the most attractive qualities for me。I am glad I read this。 ****On a side note, (view spoiler)[TANAKA YOU TENACIOUS DOG YOU。 THAT PART I WAS NOT EXPECTING。 AT。 ALL。 WHAT EVEN。 "SHOULD I JUST GO FOR IT BECAUSE I HAVE A CHANCE? NOT JUST GIVE UP WHERE I HAVE NO CHANCE?" I MEAN- SIRRR。NISHINOYA AND ASAAHI(UNEXPECTED!!!!)。 OIKAWA, CRAZY- BOY HE GOT THAT POWER。 AND I LOVE THE KINDA SORTA SELF PORTRAIT FURUDATE GAVE。 (hide spoiler)] 。。。more

It has always been difficult for me to express what I feel, but haikyuu has made me feel so many things that at least i have tom mention some。。For me this series has not only been a method of entertainment, especially in recent years haikyuu has been rather my safe place, it has been the words that I have always wanted to hear, the teachings that I must remember, and the relationships to which all have to aspire。And we alson not only see victories, we see defeats but not as a sign of disability It has always been difficult for me to express what I feel, but haikyuu has made me feel so many things that at least i have tom mention some。。For me this series has not only been a method of entertainment, especially in recent years haikyuu has been rather my safe place, it has been the words that I have always wanted to hear, the teachings that I must remember, and the relationships to which all have to aspire。And we alson not only see victories, we see defeats but not as a sign of disability but as a need for greater effort and perhaps a hunger to grow。On the other hand, I think what makes haikyuu even more special are its characters, and their development。 I would dare to say that there is not a single character in haikyu that I do not have a certain affection for。 In these last chapters there has not been a single moment that has not stopped crying just by seeing how far each character has come, the proudness and happiness that I have felt have no description, and I am very grateful to have been part of it in some way。Haikyuu is undoubtedly one of the best series that I have followed, it has a huge space in my heart, and it will always be present in my life, as well as every teaching and experience that i saw。。Maybe life is like volleyball, like a game, there are always incidents, or clear defeats, even injustices and moments when everyone around you will underestimate you。 But the key to getting ahead is learning from mistakes, learn, maybe lean on a partner and fight。 Farewell, my paradise。 。。。more
